ARRIVALS & PARKING INFORMATION

• Reston Town Center (RTC) skate shop will open at 8:45am. 

• • Skate rental is included in registration fee.  Skates ranging from size 8 toddler through men’s size 15, in both figure and hockey styles are available. For beginner skaters, try the double bladed, flat edge skates to walk across the ice until you’re ready to glide into a single bladed skate, available in size Youth 8-13. 
    

  • Penguin or snowperson skate aids are available for rent (for an additional fee, payable to RTC rink).

• RTC offers both garage parking and street parking. 

• • Garage parking is free on the weekends. The Blue Garage (Zone 400) is closest to the rink which is adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. 

  • Street parking is $3 for up to an hour and $6 for up to two hours. Paying to park is easy-- visit one of the convenient garage pay stations (no App or cash required), pay by the ParkRTC App, or pay by phone (571)485-7790. 

• Please print or download a copy of your receipt and bring it with you to the event. You must present your receipt to WES PTA prior to entering the skate shop.

• RTC ice rink will open at 9:00am and close at 11:00am.

• The ice rink has a roof and is open-air. So the event will proceed rain, snow or shine.

• Please note food and beverages may not be served at the rink due to COVID-19 regulations.

HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION

• Face covering must be worn inside the skate shop, anywhere on the black rubber matting, on the ice and for any spectator within 10 feet of the rink’s handrail. .

• Occupancy limits inside the skate shop will be monitored by RTC skate rink staff to ensure compliance. Please put your skates on outside by the benches so that everyone can be fitted for skates quickly and efficiently.

• Maintain physical distancing (6 ft. minimum) at all times from those not in your household.

• Helmets are encouraged to protect against head injury from falling on the ice. Helmets are not provided at the skate shop, please bring your own.

• Use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the skate shop and ice rink.

• No smoking or vaping in venue area. Use of drugs is prohibited.

• No alcohol will be permitted in venue area.
