Westbriar 2024 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk |
Day of Information:
Our 5K is THIS SATURDAY! Our schedule kicks off at 7:45 with a warmup and pledge of allegiance. Our 5K runners will start at 8am and our 1-mile walkers will begin at 8:05. After the event, we will have activities for the students, snacks, music, and a raffle.
Packets will be going home with students on Thursday. Each family will receive one packet so if there are multiple students registered, only one of them will receive all the materials for the whole family. Packets will have your event bibs (please where these on the day of the event), t-shirts if you registered in time to receive a shirt, and raffle tickets.
Our annual 5K run and 1 mile fun walk returns on Saturday, April 13th! Falcons Fight Hunger This year, Westbriar will be partnering with the Kilmer Middle School Food Pantry to fight food insecurity in our immediate community. The food pantry services 50-60 families each week.
The Westbriar PTA will be collecting food donations prior to the event to make Power Packs, which are provided to students over school breaks. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a service learning project stuffing Power Packs at the event. Donations will be collected from Monday, March 5th through Friday, April 5th. Collection bins will be placed at the front entrance of the school. Race proceeds will go towards supporting the Westbriar PTA and the Kilmer Food Pantry! Please join us and help raise some money for two great causes. Westbriar Elementary - 1 Mile Walk Route Walk will take place on sidewalks. After crossing Pine Valley Dr, walkers will remain on the sidewalk on the inside of the loop, moving in a clock-wise direction. All children must walk with an adult.
| Westbriar Elementary - 5K Run Route From Westbriar Elementary - Right on Pine Valley Dr - Left on Higdon Dr (cross Burning Tree Dr and Pebble Beach Dr) - Right on Palm Springs Dr (through to Montmorency Dr) - Left on Montmorency Dr (cross Ermantrude Ct, Moonac Ct and Bois Ave) - Turn around in circle where Montmorency dead ends and return along same route
