Westbriar Math Olympiad (Grades 4-6)
Math Olympiad (Grades 4-6) is a national math competition consisting of 5 monthly Olympiads. www.moems.org In each Olympiad, students have 30 minutes to solve 5 math problems. Score is cumulative so participants should not miss any Olympiad. This program is for students of all ability levels. Students should enjoy problem solving or want to become better mathematicians. All Olympiads and practices will be virtual. Students practice problem solving and critical thinking skills. Last year, both Westbriar teams ranked in the top 10% of all teams and an impressive 41 of the 46 students competing received an individual award. Over a third of the students placed in the top 10% nationally and they included 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! This program is very popular and usually fills quickly. Spaces are limited.
